In this FAQ’s you may solve the main doubts and questions related to the registration for SALOMON ULTRA PIRINEU 2022.
Remember that you’ll find much more detailed information in the regulations of each race.
IMPROVEMENT IN THE SUP100k REGISTRATION PROCESS
After opening the registration period, many SUP100K runners have informed us about their difficulties with providing proof of participation in a mountain race of at least 40km in the last 3 years.
The reason of this requirement is to ensure that Ultra participants have recent experience in facing prolonged efforts in mountains before tackling an Ultra of this magnitude. Having done mountain trainings or mountain crossings of 40km or more should be equally valid, although more difficult to prove.
In order to simplify the registration process for runners, we have added a new point in the regulations and in the informed consent form that each runner must sign to get the race bib. In this new point, the runner declares that “between 01/01/2019 and the day of the event, the runner has participated in a race, mountain training or mountain crossing of at least 40 km”. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to prove it during registration.
To avoid saturating the server, registration for each distance will be split in several consecutive days as follows:
12-01-2021 (10:00h BCN time): registration for SUP100k
13-01-2021 (10:00h BCN time): registration for SMP42k
14-01-2021 (10:00h BCN time): registration for SMP21k
14-01-2021 (10:00h BCN time): registration for LMNPvk
In Article 1 of the regulations of each race there is a description of all the needed requirements to register for each distance and to collect the race bib for the event.
In this FAQ’s we explain the requirements for registration.
SUP100k: You must be 18 years old on the day of the event, and have participated in (at least) one mountain race, crossing or training of at least 40km, between 01/01/2019 and the day of the SUP100k.
SMP42k: You must have 18 years on the day of the event.
SMP21k and LMNPvk: You must turn 16 years during the year 2022.
SUP100k: 1300 race bibs, including those reserved by the Organization for elite runners and commitments.
SMP42k: 1300 race bibs, including those reserved by the Organization for elite runners and commitments.
SMP21k: 1000 race bibs, including those reserved by the Organization for elite runners and commitments.
LMNPvk: 200 race bibs, including those reserved by the Organization for elite runners and commitments.
NO, like we did in 2021, registration will be direct and there won’t be a lottery. We consider that with almost 4.000 available race bibs, the lottery is an unneeded inconvenience for participants.
You may find all the information in article 13 of the regulations for each distance.
If you have registered for SUP100K, for example, you can click on “check your registration 100K” in “HOME” or in the ULTRA section on the web.
Once there, enter your name and surname and click on “SEARCH”.
If you appear on the list, it means that your registration has been completed.
If you don’t appear on the list, most probably is due to misspelling of your name or surname in the search or during the registration. In this case, you may try to simplify the search by using only your name (if it’s not very common) or your family name if it’s less common.
If you still don’t appear on the list, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
